About Us
 
CJ Dorgeloh, principal of growthWorks consulting, is a writer, facilitator, and "get it done" organizer for community building projects.

With a commitment to collaboration, CJ has devoted her expertise to both the nonprofit and corporate sectors since 1988. With a focus on partnership, learning, and fun (!), she co-creates dynamic projects that transform individuals and communities.

Since her early career, CJ has worked with numerous business owners to bring their ideas and visions into fruitful reality. She joined the meeting and event industry in 1989, where she coordinated productions for The Fun Company, Caribiner Communications and The WOW Factory. Later, she put her abilities to work in the nonprofit sector with organizations such as Hands On Atlanta, Jewish Family & Career Services, and Cobb Family Resources. CJ served as Project Director for the "NORC Project", a pilot program for the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, and was awarded the Fulton County Award for Partnership in 2004.

growthWorks consulting, llc is grounded in CJ's belief in the transforming power of listening, effective communication, and building relationships that work. She received training in facilitation and conflict resolution from University of Georgia, The Fellowship of Reconciliation, Leadership Strategies and The Center for Nonviolent Communication. Since 2000, she's been a Facilitator for UGA's Fanning Leadership Institute, and is an avid student of Servant Leadership. CJ served as a Facilitator for the 2006 Leadershape Institute, and as a Communications Coach for the 2002 Mongolia Summer English Olympics in Ulaanbataar, Mongolia. She received her B.A. in English from James Madison University in 1987.

Her recent adventures include kayaking, hiking and contra dancing in one of her favorite playgrounds, Asheville, and the mountains of western North Carolina. She is now settling into her new home in Greensboro, NC and pursuing her graduate degree in Conflict Studies and Dispute Resolution at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her future plans include embarking on a learning journey to South Africa.
